TRAVELING OUTSIDE THE US WITH A PENDING I-751 APPLICATION
Dear Forumites,

I applied for the removal of conditions( I-751) about 9 months ago, and received the letter extending my green card for 18 months. I intend to book a cruise to a number of Carribean destinations in March, but I am unsure if it is wise to travel now even though the letter categorically states you can travel and work.

Has anyone ever had the experience of traveling to 1 or more countries with an expired green card and the letter from USCIS showing that your green card has been extended? How do other countries receive you when you show them the letter? Did you have any issue(s) there? Did you have any issue boarding the ship? did you have issues returning to the US?

If you or anyone you know have had any experience lately traveling while I-751 (removal of conditions) is pending, please reply. Thank you very much.
