I-485
I had my interview today, Minneapolis-St Paul field office. The interview went well, we were given a white sheet of paper saying that the case will need to be reviewed. But the IO told us that it is just procedure and he hoped to stamp everything in 10 minutes if he had all the documents. Our case status was updated to New Card Is Being Produced about 20 minutes after we left the interview. Here is our timeline:

F1 married to USC, Dec 2018
Application received: 2/4/2019
EAD received on hand: 8/19/2019
Notice that interview was scheduled: End of 10/2019
Interview date: 12/3/2019
Card is being produced: 12/3/2019

Our interview experience was good. The IO is professional but also warm towards us. My husband and I have a significant age difference and I initially was worried that we would be separated but that didn’t happen. The IO asked my USC husband first about his name, DOB, current address, when we started moving in together, how many children from previous marriage that he has, what the name of his ex-wife and when they got married. He then asked when he separated with his ex-wife, when our first date, etc. Then he asked some basic similar questions, and asked me how many times I entered the US and on what visa. After that be asked several questions on the I485. He asked about our relationship, how we got to know each other, how the relationship was developed, if it was gradual from friendship or if there is an event that changed the relationship, if the subject of getting married was brought up before, if I was surprised when being proposed, etc. He asked for joint documents which we showed him our mortgage/deed of our newly bought house, bank statements, joint health insurance, and pictures together on many domestic trips we took over the last year. He would occasionally asked where that picture was taken and when. And basically that was it, about 35-40 minutes in total.

I am waiting for my card now and I hope that it will arrive within a week or so. Good luck to all of you!
