My AOS to Green Card journey
Hi Everyone;
Phildalphia- NBC filer PD June 24 2019
I have been a silent reader on this forum; and decided to post my experience; hope it helps you in the journey

Background

Arrived on H1b visa;

Married to US citizen; on April 13 2019

We went with a lawyer for this process

Did all the preparation like medicals, Affidavit of support, affidavits from friends &family(advice from lawyer that this affidavits actually help, gave him around 10)

USICS received date of June 24,2019 for the entire packet { i485,i131, i765,i130}

BioMetric done on July 25,2019

August 29,2019 received rfe for medicals {had to get them done again, as mine was old by a month, took this document with us to interview along with rfe letter too }

USCIS scheduled interview for December 4 2019
I765 and I131 approval notice on November 13 2019

Got combo card in mail next week around November 20 2019

December 4 2019 interview scheduled at 10:45 { Went with lawyer}

Did the finger prints and photo then was directed to go to certain counter on second floor {Lawyer was helping us to be in a relaxed state}

Interview went well

 The officer was very gentle and professional made us feel almost at home.
 Took the Oath; and where asked to sit down;
 Officer asked IDs from both of us
 After that made some notes in his file
 Lawyer mentioned about my status, and how I came to US while submitting additional documentation to IO
 Lawyer was happy to see the documentation
{ Documentation included -> lease under both our names; utility bills under both our names
Travel tickets and bank statements from joint back account; pictures from across the time we knew each other and started living together(we also showed our albums too); }

 After that IO asked my wife(US citizen) some questions
IO: what’s your full name?
IO: Date of birth?
IO: Any siblings?
IO: where you works? (she recently got new job so told about that)
IO: How familiar are you with city? (answered honestly use gps to get around)

 After that IO asked me some questions
IO: what’s my full name?
IO: what’s my parents name?
IO: What’s my DOB?

Then asked the standard yes no questions

 After proceeded to ask both of us some questions
IO: what’s your marriage date?
IO: Have you been married prior?
IO: Do we have kids now or before?
IO: where did we live before moving in together?
IO: How many vehicles do we have?
IO: How I commute to work?

That’s it took about 15 to 20 mins; IO said I will get it GC in two weeks

Dec 6 2019 I485 and I130 changed to approved.

If you have any questions let me know; Like most people tell hear collect all the evidence; file documentation properly ; have loads of photos; practice your questions (always helps); Have faith you will get.
