Finally got my green card
Good morning, friends
Thank God I received my card last night.
Here is my experience:
September 2015 arrived to US with tourist visa
February 2016 started asylum case
February 2018 met my current husband (US citizen)
September 2018 got married
December 2018 started process (marriage based)
June 2019 got first interview, interview was fine, officer was really detailed
Got RFE after interview for statement about detentions back home
Got 2nd interview notice
August 2019 2nd interview which lasted 5 minutes
A week later denial letter received
We did motion of appeal and started new application for -i485 again (i130 was approved after 1st interview)
December2, 2019 received an approval letter for green card (motion of appeal worked)
December 6, 2019 card in hand
I still can’t believe! So happy! Trust me it was really long, nerve crashing and expensive journey, and it’s over.
I was reading this forum almost every day, it helped me not to go nuts. Good luck to everyone! Hopefully every one of you will get status ASAP.
