Approved Citizenship
So I have been actively posting and reading here and I want to thank you all for sharing and supporting. I am at the end of my journey as I received approval for citizenship today. Here is my story:

I applied as a spouse of a citizen. 3 year rule. I applied while the removal of conditions on my GC was still pending. It was pending for over a year.

July 2 - Application Received
July 13 - Biometrics scheduled
July 29 - Biometrics reviewed
November 5 - Interview scheduled
December 10 - Attended interview
December 10 - Online updated to “you have been approved”
December 10 - In the night it changed to “we scheduled your oath ceremony.
Not sure what the date is yet but the officer told me to expect early January.

Ok so I did the combo interview. PLEASE BRING YOUR SPOUSE IF YOU ARE APPLYING WITH A PENDING I751. You won’t get a letter mailed to about this. It won’t show online. Instead you are going to get a weird email that looks like a spam telling you to bring your spouse.

I live in MA and I did my interview in Lawrence, MA. I think it lasted an hour tops and it would have been less but their system was acting up. So there was a lot of waiting and idle convo to pass the time.

You first go to a window to do the tests. If you pass they send you to wait for your name to be called and there you finish up the naturalization interview.

I can’t remember my questions because I had to do everything twice. The system kept crashing and the work done wasn’t saved.

I remember my reading test was something about California having the largest population. For the love of god I cannot remember not one of the two writing tests. I am sorry. Nerves and everything but take my word for it, it’s extremely easy.

Questions....
1. Name one branch of the government
2. What is an amendment?
3. What did Martin Luther King do?
4. What did Susan B. Anthony do?
5. Who is in charge of the Executive branch?
6. Can’t remember the last question

The second part was basically talking about what was on the applications. Making updates and changes if needed. We talked about the weather. History of Lawrence. The officer was so so awesome. My nerves went away during the civics test with the first officer.

My advise, be accurate in your application to avoid delay, bring all the originals of whatever you send in with the application, be prepared, and BE HONEST. They already know the answer to the questions they are asking you.

Good luck everyone and thank you all for this support network. .
