Hi guys!!! We were so excited when we got our interview scheduled at 5.5 months because our state shows that it takes more than a year. So miracles do happen!! We were so happy and wanted to share but didn't want to jinx ourselves. Our interview date finally came and here is our experience:

Our interview was today at 10:15 am. We didnt sleep all night, my husband was feeling sick and regretting breakfast, his eyes were hurting, my stomach hurting but I didnt feel scared or nervous. It was a very silet ride on our way there, lol. We arrived early 9:30 but waited for about an hour.

Lady in late 30s, early 40s called us, our lawyer just whispered to us that she was nice. When I (wife) walked up to her and shook her hand she didnt seem to like that by the expression on her face so my husband just said hello. I almost rolled my eyes but quickly realized where I was and that they are in full control of our destiny.

We walked into her room, sat down, she asked us to take oath. I was very relaxed. She took my husband's fingerprints and his picture and said she was starting with me first. Asked for my name, Where I worked, told her my 15th yr work anniversary was coming up, she asked what kind of gifts do we get for a milestone anniversary, told her and she kind of laughed. Asked me for my address and she almost wrote it down wrong so I corrected her.

Then she asked how we met. She said you met in 2019 right so I said yes but told her the month (could've just stayed quiet) she kinda got stuck on that a little because we only knew each other 4 months before we got married. Told her my husband bought me a rose before he came up to talk to me when we met so she asked him how much was the rose. Then just asked my husband about the proposal, he was honest and said we didnt have one, we just agreed we didnt wanna live apart anymore. She asked who was at the wedding and thats it.

She didnt ask me for the names of his parents, sibilings, his date of birth, nothing!! i was so surprised.

She looked at our paperwork and said she is not taking all of it (i had another binder in the bag, she kinda laughed and said she didnt wanna see it). Handed us back bunch of our papers and pictures (we had pictures in a Word document and printed out so its easy for her to scan). She then turned to my husband and said she was going to ask him the yes or no questions. She asked him at some point if he has any other phone numbers and winked at me and said something like Im asking for your wife so we all laughed. At the end she said now im going to print something and i dont like to talk while its being printed so we were like ohkay. She then handed us a "Congratulations" paper, recommending for approval. We were sooooo happy!!

As we were walking out she said I wish everyone was relaxed as you guys and not so uptight so that made us feel good.
I told my husband best case scenerio we will see an update the same day "New Card Being Produced" and so maybe an hour later when we got home thats the update we got on our tracker!!!!!!

Thank GOD for everything. I really wish you all an easy and quick interview and for all of this to come to an end!!! Its been such a stressful process for us, many sleepless nights and lots of tears over this!! Thank you all for sharing because i have learned so much through this forum and it made us feel like we werent alone in this! I wish you all the best and please ask any questions you want i'll try to respond to all.

P.S. We were only asked to show marriage certiticate, my husbands passports old and new. She never asked for his Ead, my U.s. passport, birth certificate or my us citizenship certificate either even though we had it ready.
