Federal Plaza | I485 Medical RFE not received and is now expired.
Hi All,
So a quick background, I had my I485 interview on 09/26 and it went well. Officer said that my medical is expired and he will send a RFE. I have not received anything yet and the case status also says that my interview is completed and my case must be reviewed. I130 was approved on the same date.
Between 09/26 and last week, I called USCIS multiple times and also raised a SR but every time I got the same response that that “my interview is completed and my case must be reviewed." Case status still says the same thing.
Now I called and spoke with USCIS (Tier 2) last Thursday and the guy mentioned that the RFE was sent on 09/27, however I never received any mail correspondence and the case status still says “Interview Was Completed And My Case Must Be Reviewed. He also mentioned that as per the RFE I was supposed to respond by 11/15 and now the RFE is expired. He emailed me the RFE now. I was shocked. USCIS process is miserably broken.
Now I have raised another SR mentioning the details and that RFE was not delivered. I am praying that they realize that it was their mistake and do not deny my case.
I went to civil surgeon, got my new medicals done and will get them tomorrow. Now I am thinking to show up at the Federal Plaza with the Expired RFE and medicals and deliver them.
Do you think that the security at the front will let me in? I will try to explain the situation and hoping they will let me in and deliver the new medicals.
Also any advice what may happen now? and anyone in the same boat or know if this has happened with someone else as well?
