Adjustment of Status - I-485

I called USCIS on Dec 10th requesting an expedite for my I-765. A gentleman asked me to speak out a statement of my situation and why I need this expedite via phone and I did. I told him I cannot work and raise myself without an EAD card and I am now living in other people's house for a lower rent expense. I sold my car and almost spend the last penny in my bank account.

After 6 days, I got an email saying they need additional information from me to make decisions (must be a pending job offer or a letter from employer signed by a company officer and on an official company letterhead stating that they intend to terminate my employment). This is killing me because how can I get a job without an EAD card??? I am an Asian face and everytime I interview a job they ask for my Visa status first.

I had to quit my job July this year because my student opt EAD was expired and now I have been waiting 5 months for a new EAD to continuing finding a new job. How could USCIS be so ignorant? Do they really believe that people can find a job without legal permission in the US?
