221g with Admin Processing, passport returned & took client letter (Chennai)
My i797 got expired on July 27, 2019
I did my H1b transfer on August 12, 2019 (after my visa expiry).
My petition was approved, but I got consular processing.
Dec 10, 2019 - Dropbox at chennai consulate
Dec 16 - Got blue slip to bring client letter and i129 and appear for interview.
Dec 19 - went for interview and showed all requested documents including client letter.
VO asked basic questions and also asked me to explain why i filed for H1b after my previous visa expiry. I answered.
She took back client letter and wrote something on it. Returned my passport and gave blue slip and said its under administrative processing and i will be notified once this administrative procesing is over.
I have my petition approved only till Feb 26, 2020.
Any idea how long this will take ?
is it a good idea to file extension now, as i have my petition only for next two months ?
