Hi everyone,
Its been little over a year and this my timeline as well as my interview.
Applied: August 2018.
Biometrics: September 2018.
EAD: Feb 2019
Interview Schedule: December 19, 2019 (today)
Card has been ordered: December 19, 2019 (today)
So my interview was nothing compared to the typical, calm and ask questions about married couple’s lives. In fact, my interview was rushed. My husband and I had an attorney and even he couldn’t speak on our behalf b/c the officer told him to forget it. The only thing the officer asked me based on my husband was what was my husband’s parents names and where they lived. He practically ask me about my own self and he did the same to my husband. The man was in so much rush, that my husband forgot who the hell I was. Lol. At first I was nervous b/c the officer went straight to the point and was definitely serious but as he went he made silly jokes and made us laugh. Right there, he approved me, on the spot!
Based on what my attorney said after the interview was that the officer approved us before we even stepped in the building because he reviewed everything, which explains the rush. Another thing, my husband and I never had much joints documents b/c we are temporarily not living together, which is the main reason I got an attorney. The officer didn’t even touch on that.
Whoever is going through this experience, I know the feeling and I know how frustrating it can be to wait for an interview or even an EAD card. I came on here learning so much but so relief because I was not the only one going through it. Patience is key and also trust God and his timing. Please feel free to ask me any questions.
