I-485 Interview @ Federal Plaza
He guided us and the lawyer where to sit.
He introduced himself and then we took Oath, Later he explained that he’ll be asking questions and if he ask the petitioner, only he should give an answer and vice versa for the beneficiary.
He started by asking us a form of identity.
Asked for my passport and the petitioner’s driver license.

He later asked me if i want to add any documents to my application.
I said yes and gave me all the joint documents that we brought. He was amazed to see the folder i kept on the desk and he joked & laughed “Let me see if i can fit this in your folder” and we laughed.
He picked our joint statement from one bank and he asked if we both uses this account have debit cards with us.
We said yes. He looked at the most recent statement and asked questions.
He saw a debit at a resort and asked us if we had a mini vacation recently.
We said “yes” and shared the details.
He asked what was the occasion?
Who did we went with ?
Did we have fun?
Did we stay there for a night or more ?
He asked about the water rides.
And the family who invited us and their kids name.
I guided him about the documents when he was looking at them explaining what is in there.
He was happy that we had a lot of documents and we came prepared and organized.
We also mention that we have copies for everything but he said he doesn’t need them.
Then he asked
Where did we meet each other ?
Asked people name who were there.
How was the wedding ?
Who was there at the wedding?
He asked if we would like to show him any photos, I said yes, I got 4 albums and he was amazed again. We laughed.
He only asked for one photo but I insisted on giving at least 2. One with me and my husband and the other with us and family.
Asked my husband about my siblings? My Husband had to show, pin point and name everyone in the wedding album.
Later he asked if we ever met each other parents. We talked about Food and vacation.
What restaurant we had our anniversary party and what kind of food did we serve?
What does my husband do and where does he work?
What does our schedule sounds like since my husband now does a night shift.
At last, he did yes and no questions.
We kinda laugh and smile and chit chat in the whole interview. The officer knew his job and wasn’t very lenient or very grumpy.
He approved us on the spot and said I should expect my green card soon.
