Adjustment of Status - I-485

Hello all ,

I simply wanted to share my experience. I filed all the paper work for my now husband with no help just me simply reading and following instructions.

We started our process back in December 15, 2018 where I filed for his k1 visa
.... fast forward to his arrival into Dallas Texas June 22, 2019.

Here is my timeline for adjustment of status : work permit and travel doc

  **** it took approximately 3 months and 3 weeks ( including and RFE request ) from start to finish to get my husbands work permit !!!! **** *

8.18.19 - Married

9.9.19 mailed packet

Payment debited from credit card 9-13.19
Received text message with 3 case numbers 9.15.19 but case number reads 16th ( time difference )

Biometric appointment October 7 at 12 pm
Case status online shows biometrics received on October 8

Case status updated to Request for additional information on 10.30.19 got it on 11.2.19

Sent off response to RFE
On 11.7.19

RFE Shows received on 11-12-19

11.14.19 case shows ready to be scheduled for an interview on 11-26-19

12.13.19 EAD updates from received finger prints to finger prints taken

12.18.19 status is updated to show new card is being produced

12.19.19 Travel permit shows case was approved as of 12.18.19

12.19.19 work permit shows case was approved as of December 18 2019

12.20.19 Work permit was updated to card was mailed on December 20th

12.23.19 received mail stating permit and travel doc was approved

12.24.19 case updated to card was delivered to me by post office - tracking number was provided to show estimated delivery of dec 27th

12.24.19 ( I just decided to check the tracking number) Tracking number showed delivered into mail box on 12.24.19

12.24.19 - have EAD in hand

12.27.19 ss Card was delivered in the mail
