Marriage Based-NOID
I am writing this experience to give some hope to people who are waiting for their green card.

We applied in Dec 2017, got the interview April 2019. Interview didn't go that well. Separate interview, our answered matched 100%. But the officer didn't get convinced of the bona fide nature of our marriage. The main reason in my idea was the fact that we were not living with each other, even our explanations didn't convince the officer. Please note that we had many other supporting documents.

On June 2019 we got NOID. We freaked out and we were super sad. I honestly thought everything is over and my wife also was heart broken. By that time, we already have been living with each other, so we got a good lawyer and she responded the NOID with tons of documents. Some of them are as follows:

1) Many affidavits (25) from my wife's parents, friends, university staffs, my advisor, my boss. All notarized.
2) Selected conversations of I and my wife text messages. I exported the text messages using a software, we went through many many pages of the text messages.
3) Our lease.
4) Our Driver licenses with same address.
5) Our tax returns ( we had them in the day of interview as well)
6) our bank joint accounts and the statements.

Anyways after responding in one month, we waited again till November that the i130 got approved after 2 service requests. Again we waited till end of December and the i485 got approved as well after calling USCIS and talking to a kind officer level 2. I got the card today finally.

If I want to give a guide to people who may be in a same situation with bona fide marriage:
- Do not apply before moving with each other. Just wait and apply after having a same address. It saves you from stress and costs.
- Get a lawyer, however it may cost you a lot and put you under debts.
- Do not lose your hope

Good luck.
