Hello:
I went for Dropbox option at Hyderabad consulate in dec 23rd, 2019. Timeline is below:
Case created: dec 26th
Admin processing: Jan 3rd
Passport ready for pickup and picked up: Jan 6th
I received my passport today with 221(g) asking to come for follow up interview.
The current H1b visa in my passport is valid till aug 2020 but is for the old employer. Can I return to US with the current stamp which is valid till aug 2020 and show the new I-797 approval at port of entry and do the interview later? I have a pre planned trip in March as well to India for 3 weeks, can I do the interview then? Or there is a validity date for the 221g and it needs to be done before I go back to US?
