Hi,
I'm currently waiting on my documents (filed on Nov 4th) and went for my Biometrics on Dec 4.
I'm not sure if anyone will know this but I thought I would give it a shot.
I currently live in MA, and was looking to get a drivers license. However, it states you need proof of lawful presence and that you will be staying in the US for over 2 years.
The reason I want to obtain a drivers license is so that I'm not limited to a work location when I FINALLY get my EAD!
At the moment due to ultimately being in no mans land, we don't have any documents to prove this right?
So I guess my question is, is it really that bad that I can't even get a drivers license?
This whole process is really frustrating! I feel like my life is fully on hold (I've actually been here since Aug) but was unable to file until Nov - stupid move in hindsight!
