My H1B Stamping Experience @Vancouver Canada May 14th 2012
My interview was at 9:30AM May 14th 2012 @Vancouver

I was allowed to stand in the line/queue as soon as I went to the consulate(around 8:50AM).
Before allowing you to join the queue, they'll check your passport,DS160 and I797.
Do not carry cell phones and liquid items like lotions/sanitizer.If you have a cell phone and have no where to put it, you can deposit that with the security officer and pick it up after the interview.
You can wear a jacket/sweat shirt and just carry the file/folder with all documents.I saw a guy carrying more than 1 file/folder.
Once you are in line/queue, there's an officer near the main entrance door, who calls one by one (or the complete group if its a family) for screening.
This screening is similar to airport screening. Have to take out all the metal items (belts, bangles, rings etc)
After screening you would be sent to counter 1 where he/she takes your Passport,DS160,I797 and hands in a token No. and you will be asked to wait in the seating area. He/She will call your token number once they are done with initial check to return Passport,DS160,I797 (Please see Note at the end below). You would be asked to be seated again until your token No. appears on the TV display or some body calls your token No. to go upstairs 20th floor.

Once you are on 20th floor, you will be waiting for your token No. and give your ten print(finger print).
After ten print you would again wait for final interview call.
