Montreal H1b stamping 1/9/2020
I had my H1b visa interview yesterday at Montreal yesterday(1/9/2020). My appointment was at 12:30 PM. They don't let you in earlier than appointment time. So plan accordingly. The whole process took around 45 minutes. The questions asked by visa officer were the usual ones:
- Asked for employer letter.
- Highest degree obtained
- What kind of work i do.
He said my visa was approved. The status changed to issued at around 11:00 AM local time today(1/10/2020). My passport will be ready for pickup on Monday. Here is where i think i made a mistake with the delivery location. Turns out there is one canada post office(5 RUE DU FORT) in Montreal that is open on Saturdays. But by the time i realized this, it was too late to change. For those who don't want to be struck in canada for the weekend, you may want to check which of the passport delivery locations in the city where you want to pickup your passport is open on Saturdays.
