It’s been four months since I had my interview in San Jose, Ca (I’m originally a SF filer). Last night I got an update that my I-130 was finally approved. However, the status of the I-485 still says “interview was scheduled).
I asked my lawyer and she said it’s good news because my case is moving, and that I should wait a few days and see if the I-485 updates. She said she has never had a client with just the I-130 approved in such scenario.
Has anyone experienced something similar? I don’t want to get my hopes up because I have read very old posts where people got their I-130 approved a few weeks after the interview but still had to wait months for the I-485.
