Called USCIS PD June 26
Hey everyone, just wanted to share my experience and ask for your comments or share of similar experience.
My PD is June 26th, married to LPR and filed in Philadelphia.
I submitted I-130 way earlier in 2018 and waited for visa bulletin to become current. The June 26th is PD for submitting I-765, 131 and 485 AOS.
I called USCIS to check and see if i need to submit any additional details and to check and see my status as i never got any updates after 'fingerprint fee received'.
They mentioned that we don't need anything at this point and then I asked them if you can please provide me any update that you may have about how far has my case been processed in regards to EA and advance parole. She kept me on hold for a few minutes as she was looking up to find my application status and then she told me that your case is near to completion and you should be hearing back from us soon. We have maximum processing time for EAD cards for 7.5 months and you are getting close to that boundary. You would still have to wait for 7.5 months time to complete, but possibly you should be hearing back from us very soon.
Generally, people say to never believe what they say over phone, but I don't know if I should believe it or not. Now that i'm thinking of it, I wonder if after my 7.5 months time gets past and still I don't hear from them, should I submit a SAR outside processing time (which may further delay my case) or should I just sit back and keep waiting hoping that my case is near completion and they will get back to me anytime now.
Furthermore, I even asked her if the affidavit of support was accepted or not, and she said that we have accepted that affidavit of support.
Can someone please tell me who may have had a similar kind of experience?
