Adjustment of status - marriage based . (NJ)
- Pd 04/18
- EAD received after 6 months
- 02/ 2019 Interview . (Stoke Interview) . I think it was because my wife just got a new drivers license or something. She interviewed her alone after asking her like 50 questions then she called me in and asked me like 60 to 70 questions. We missed like 4 questions or so I think. After interview, I was given the 120 days white paper to wait and since then it was

Uttermost silence from USCIS until

- 08/19 Applied for EAD renewal
- 09/19 Rec'd renewed EAD card

10/19 Celebrated 2yrs wedding anniversary, still no word from USCIS. I was dying cos I had lots of issues I was dealing with. My job sucked and I couldn't bring in enough money to provide for me and my wife which affected our relationship and I had other debts also. I know people say coming to this website made them strong enough to keep pushing but that's not true for me, coming to this site makes me want to crawl under a cave and just stay there cos of all the horror stories that you read about what people are going through.

12-2019 Rec'd alert that CASE WAS APPROVED. I wanted to cry cos it's been hell of a journey. I know people say if your marriage is real, you got nothing to worry about but how can you not worry when you are in debt and you're stuck and can't explore the opportunities that are at your fingertips and you have just on piece of card delaying all the plans you have for yourself and family. I could literally say I've grown 4yrs older than my age after what USCIS put me through.

And please note, I didn't contact anybody. I think USCIS will do whatever they want to do at the end of the day and will delay you as much as they please... The only person I contacted was God who fought on my behalf. I see the amount of documents people took to their interview, I didn't even take half of those documents lol

NJ filers, keep strong and keep praying to whichever God you serve.. If you're an atheist, believe in yourself and I would say live your life the cleanest way you can..

All I gotta do now is wait to apply for citizenship. My i485 journey ends here. Adios amigos
