Adjustment of Status - I-485

ICE office visit
my I485 and I130 got denied. After 2 weeks of denial, we refilled a new petition. I was arrested in NY but the case was granted ACD Which is basically dismissal. Homeland Security(ICE) has me to show up at their office for interview and i was asked what happened during the arrest. I explained to them and they took the disposition from me.
Long story short, he put me in removal proceedings because I was denied which put me out of status.
But my concern is before they called me for their interview, I already got a receipt notice for my application and I was thinking I shouldn’t have been put to removal proceedings.
Again today, I receive a biometric appointment for my application scheduled for February 2nd for fingerprint
At this point I’m kind of confuse about my case cos I don’t even know where I belong with all these.
