i cant live with my husband in Section 8
My husband lives in section 8 (govt partially funded residence). it was due for renewal and I went to him to meet the Housing Director so that my name can be added in the lease since every adult that live in the house must b in the lease but I was told I cant even spend a night there since I don't ve a green card yet and the benefit its strictly for a USC and that my husband is a USC citizen doesn't translate that I can live with him there. I had to go rent a 1bdroom apartment. the problem is that he has a 16yrs old son and I ve a son too so 1bdroom apartment cant accommodate all of us. so we now live apart. he can sleep over in my place but I cant in his. will this be a problem to USCIS because we cant ve a lease together? Your advice on way forward is highly appreciated.
