Honestly, I was expecting an RFE because when I went for green card interview the officer said that he needs to review our case because an I-30 was filed for me before by my ex-husband and he kept asking me about previous marriage than the current one and he said me might asked me for more documentation to prove the previous one is bonafide.

I came here on F1 visa, worked without authorization, and was out of status for a few years. And we did have a lawyer and I know we could have done it ourselves but by having our lawyer file our case we have avoided RFE’s and having my lawyer there during the interview give me the security that I needed. I filed my case in Chicago Field Office.
