What to expect? Lose hope? Suggestions?
Hello Everyone,

Here's my timeline hoping anybody who underwent the same thing can provide any advice or suggestions:

Type: C9 AOS married to USC
Service Center: NBC

July 22, 2019 - Priority Date
August 16, 2019 - Fingerprint / Biometrics Done
September 18, 2019 - Application was flagged due to some missing information in Long Form Birth Certificate.
September 22, 2019 - Receipt of RFIE Letter
October 9, 2019 - RFIE Response sent
October 12, 2019 - RFIE marked as delivered by USPS
December 18, 2019 - SR Created since 2 months of no response to Delivered RFIE Response
January 21, 2020 - Followed-up with Tier 2 on the SR created from December 18 but they didn't help and was just rude. Initiated expedite of Work Permit.
January 22, 2020 - Discovered that USCIS hasn't received my document hence my application was still on RFE Sent status. Resent RFIE Response.
January 24, 2020 - Work Permit expedite rejected since my application is on hold.
January 28, 2020 - Status changed to RFIE Response Received

In between October 12, 2019 and January 21, 2020, Tier 1 and Tier 2 kept on saying that NBC was working on my application and to just wait or that they don't have access to the physical file, I called in once every week and its the same answers.Only to find out that they never received my application.

I am in touch with CIS Ombudsman on my case, unfortunately, they don't have much update rather than my case being escalated to their manager since they are convinced that USCIS mishandled my RFIE response and that the manager endorsement should allow my application to move forward without the long wait. Since January 28, 2020, I haven't heard anything from USCIS nor CIS Ombudsman regarding my case.

Any suggestions on what next steps I can take? The date I am targeting is to at least have my EAD approved before March 28, 2020, before my H-1B Visa reaches the Max Physical Stay date.

Thank you for reading this.
