EXPEDITE REQUEST APPROVED, What's next?
Hi all,
We applied for AOS based on an F3 (Married son/daughter of a USC). We have receipt date of July 10th, 2019. Got RFE and got received by USCIS (NBC) on 10/7/2019. We have been waiting for I-765, I-131 approval ever since.
I was previously working with an H1B that expired 10/16/2019. I have been off of work since then.
We got a congressman's office involved and with a letter from my previous employer claiming how much it would cost the company to re-train someone to take the position I used to hold and a job offer, we were able to request the expedition of our I-765 and I-131.
We submitted the request on 01/2/2020. Our case had not even been looked at and USCIS had not determined whether it passed "prima facie". Anyhow, with the help of the senator's office, they got the case assigned to an officer and our case passed prima facie on 01/22/2020. On 01/28/2020, the office sent in the request to expedite our I765, on 02/05/2020, the request to expedite our I765 was approved.

What is next? How much time do I have to wait for the I-765 to be finally approved and EAD produced? Any ideas? I'm desperate, my wife does not work and I have been out of work for almost 4 months. Hope to hear positive (or negative) news... Just want to know what to expect.

Thanks!

J
