OCI reissued in around 10 days by NYC Consulate...Whaaaaaaat!
Recently, a friend of mine worked with a New Jersey-based firm to get the OCI re-issuance processed and returned in his hand in about 10 days.

The firm charged a nice fee for its service. The good (in fact, great) news is that it delivered the promised result. The OCI was processed via the NYC Consulate, where, I am aware that, things are done at a much faster pace than that in other centers in US, like DC.

Nevertheless, I was floored to see that kind of fast result. I have submitted my re-issuance application to CKGS DC some 12 days ago. It is currently in the dead zone showing as “Under Process” at the Embassy.

Has anyone else used expedited services like the one in NJ? Does this suggest that there is a fasttrack process, by both CKGS and the consulate / embassy for the right price?

I am interested in hearing your experience about this.
