GC in hand!
Hi all!

My GC journey has end today. I got my 10 years GC under IR6 category.

Here is my full story.

I came to the USA as tourist back in 2014 without intentions to stay but while I was here in my country happened not really good things and after a few consultations with other people and later with attorney I decided to stay and apply for asylum...

I sent my documents on July 2014 and was getting my EAD under that case until last September.

In 2015 me and my wife who was LPR then decided to get married which we did and on February 2016 we sent out i130 under F2B category.

I130 got approved back on June 2016 without interview which is not really often case.

After this we had to wait available visa which happened back in February 2018.

We sent i485 back in March 2018.
I485 ready for an interview back in July 2018.
July 2019 an interview has been scheduled
September 3rd, 2019 interview date

We brought lots of evidence but IO did not even check our photo album and told us i130 got approved early and she doesn't need to see anything.

The interview was not easy and after yes/no questions IO told my wife to wait outside and continued my interview with over 170 questions... I told her all the truth. The interview lasts for almost 2.5h.

After those, she told me she got everything and will follow up with me in the next 180 days.

Next day case turned into ”interview was completed and my case must be reviewed” and me EAD renew got approved.

We did not hear back till last Tuesday 11/2. On 9 am I got a text message ”new card is being produced”
12/2 i485 got approved
13/2 we mailed your new card
15/2 GC for 10 years in hands.

I can't say how I'm happy now... Now I have to close my asylum case which me and my attorney will do next Tuesday.

I want to wish good luck to everyone who's waiting their interview or decision stay strong and don't give up!
