Tax Season!!! Any Advice on joint taxes?
Hi All,

Now that it is tax season - I have so many questions which I believe this will be a great platform to ask since we are definitely all in the same boats!

Background information: I have a pending I-485 application. (PD: July 24, 2019)
Me and my husband got married after I stopped working last year due to EAD expiration. Now we are filing joint taxes this year and I was wondering if I still have to file the 1040NR? I filed it last time as I was on F1.

Any pointers on this will be helpful - also because being on F1 - I had to mail my tax documents in as 1040 NR is not filed online.

Can I just file the joint tax or do I still have to send in an additional 1040 NR?

If I am completely wrong, please point me in the right direction!! :)

Thank you so much!!!!

Best,
Shreya P
