Interview (Los Angeles, CA) - Investigation ?
Hello everyone!
Just a brief background.. My wife (US Citizen) and I got married in December 2017 we submitted our package to USCIS April 2018. It took them a whole year to schedule our interview in April 2019.
We were super excited to get the process over with. Our lawyer checked us in early but the security was down and took longer than expected. He said we got a good officer so we felt even more relief. But....... since it took us a while to get upstairs they had to switch us last second because the assigned someone else to the officer. and this is when it went down hill...
we got switched to a very tough officer and our lawyer was not happy and told us she was very tough.. which then made us feel even worse.
So to start she had us separated right off of the bat... I went in 1st and then my wife went after. Very serious but she asked simple straight forward questions. However, with all the nerves when it was time for my wife to answer the same questions she asked me she answered all the questions the same expect she forgot what we did on the weekend prior and got her weekends mixed up.
Needless to say we were not approved on the spot and the officer said they needed more time to make a decision.
Our lawyer said she would most likely approve it within a month or so as he said our case was perfect. Well.... they never approved it or denied it its almost a year now since the interview and we have not heard back from them yet.
Our lawyer said she could investigate us and send someone to our house. Has anyone gone through anything like this recently? has anyone been investigated under this new investigation? We are trying to be patient but its beginning to get a little difficult. We are basically just waiting to hear back because its been silent. He said they can approve our case any time or send someone to investigate so pretty much anything can happen. We honestly just want the process to continue as long as its moving.
