Interview in San Jose/Santa Clara
Hi

We had the interview for my green card application this past Wednesday in San Jose/Santa Clara. It was based on marriage, and my spouse is a LPR.

I would not say the interview went great or bad. It was sort of bland. He spent a lot of time on checking my F1 status as I transferred schools a couple of times. The other area he spent a lot of time was the questions from the form 485 such as illegal activities and military service, etc. He only asked a couple of questions regarding our marriage such as how we met and when I came to US.

In the end, he said due to time constraints he could not continue and asked us to leave the evidences we brought over including pictures, grant deed with both of our names on it, itineraries, credit card statements, and joint account statements, etc. The only evidence he looked at was the grant deed for which he commented this is a strong evidence. Due to our house was a new build, it has no address but the parcel number and the house type defined by the builder. He asked us why the address was not it, and we showed him the purchase agreement we signed with the builder where our address is shown.

He said we should know the result in two to four weeks, but he will try to process it on the same day (the interview day). It has been three days and we have not had any update. I am happy and envious for those people who got approval right on the spot.

Not sure how they processed the cases, but do not want to see anything going awry.
