OCI Card

OCI update for Passport for my kids got completed today. Just received the new OCI cards with the update of new passport.

If you have any questions, please ask. I will answer to my best.

This was sent to SFO. Total timeline = 44 days.

I opted for 2 services:
1) Update of my kids USA passport to OCI
2) Address change

Mar 06, 2020 - OCI card received

Mar 05, 2020 - Thursday12:30 pmOCI Card ‘Received’ at the CKGS application centre and is at the ‘Sorting Facility’ where it is being processed for delivery.

Mar 05, 2020 - Thursday12:30 pmApplication 'Reviewed' by Consulate and ‘In Transit’ to CKGS Application Centre.

Feb 06, 2020 - Thursday01:57 pmApplication is 'Under Process' at Consulate for decision making.
Feb 05, 2020 - Wednesday06:06 pmApplication is 'In Transit' to the Consulate.
Feb 05, 2020 - Wednesday02:55 pmApplication is ‘Under Process’ at CKGS.
Feb 04, 2020 - Tuesday04:51 pmApplication is ‘Verified and Reprocessed’ at CKGS.

Here are the documents which I sent to CKGS:

1) oci application form
2) Passport size photo - 2 count - use a white background and wear a dark color shirt
3) address proof (electricity bill, rental agreement, mortgage agreement etc)
4) money order / cashiers check for the OCI application fee, (fedex fee if any)
5) affidavit signed by notary form for minor (you will get the form after your online submission)
6) affidavit signed by notary for minor's US passport
7) original OCI card
8) passport page copies for minor
9) parents legal status proof (VISA, GC, or US passport copies)
10) minors birth certificate copies
11) make sure minor signs in all places (if minor is > 5 yr old). all copies should be signed by minor
12) make sure parents signs in all places
