03/10/2020 Interview
We arrived 1 hour and 30 minutes early. check in was easy, the security guy was ok. After pass the security, there is a place for you to check in, but it's only allowed 30 minutes before interview. After checked in, you will be allowed to enter another lobby, where you take your index fingerprint for both hands. After that, just need to wait for IO call your name.
My interviewer was a black women (not racist just give you guys the identity of IO) , she doesn't look happy. We were nervous. After entering the room, she asked us to oath and then collect our identification. She asked Divers license, passport, EADs. and then she start go over I-130 form with my husband, it's like an exam, she ask, you answer. In the meantime, my husband forgot one of his past address because he only lived there for two month, and the IO said "Sir, you know I am going to ask you question today right? Why don't you remember? but she didn't say anything else. So please recite every single info on your form. IO will literally ask you to say out the every info on the form, you have to recite it. After that she went over my form I-485 and those NO questions. the whole time of checking form took about 30 minutes.
And then she is ready to stand up, ready to say interview is over, but then she sit down said" Oh I forgot to ask how did you guys meet Lol" It was funny, how could she forget So she only asked Three questions:
1. How did you guys meet?( when where how)
2. Who attend your wedding?
2. How does your parents think about your husband
And then she ask if there any thing want to give her, she said she already have the pics, so no more pics. We submitted Gym contract, band statement, Facebook post over the years, trip together. We also wanted to submit the joint tax return of this year, but we couldn't find it, she asked what you guys looking for, I said joint tax return of this year, she said "oh there is no need, I am going to approve you case it seems like your case has no problem and today's interview cleared all my curiosity" and she said if you didn't receive green card in 30 days, call back" and then she give me the paper says "held fro review" and sent us out.
All in all, the interview was easy, we are over prepared, but I think it's a good thing to over prepared. Also, make sure to recite all the answers on form I-130 and I-485. If you guys have any questions, comment in below, I will try my best to answer. Thank you.
