GC Married to LPR - Interview complete
Hello folks,

I just wanted to share my interview experience with you. My interview was March 11, 2020 at the Dallas office. The officer was courteous and kept conversation strictly formal. My I130 was pending at the time of the interview. The officer asked for Identification and swore us in. Then immediately began asking my wife questions off the I485 form (my name, DOB, address, my parents name, entry into the country, current status and the Yes/No questions on the back). She also asked for documentation showing my wife's current status.

She then asked me how I got my GC, basic questions about my wife (name, DOB, her parents name), how we met and how did the wedding go. She also looked through our entire photo album and kept photocopies we brought along. Then she asked us documentation for joint assets we have.

Then she said that concludes the interview, do you have any questions. I asked her what are the next steps. She said since I am LPR my wife's case is preference case and she needs to check if Visa is available. She did not give me a white paper that many have said they have received.

That evening we got alert the card was ordered. This morning we got alert that I-130 was approved and my wife's I485 status changed from CARD Being Ordered to Case Approved.

Anyone know if that is normal for the case to go from card being ordered to case approved?

Best Wishes for Everyone
