8 months after interview
Good morning, I am hoping this crisis will soon be gone and all of us will be safe from this nasty virus.
I want to ask your advice on how to "trick" these level 1 reps (that are really testing my patience and nerves), into opening a SR about my case.
Long story short, B1/B2 married to US Citizen residing in Las Vegas, had AOS interview on July 12, 2019 and since that day our case is currently being reviewed.
We hadn't received any RFE's, neither 2nd interview request.
My pd is 03/21/2019 and every time I call or chat with L1 reps they tell me it's still under normal processing times.
Now, with the current situation, I was laid off from my job because the company shut down due to the Covid (entertainment business). Many hotels in Vegas are closed as of today.
I asked the L1 rep if I had to move to a different state to look for a job, what will happen to my case? In addition to that, I cannot claim unemployment because of the immigration policies. And she said the case will be transferred and handled by that local office. So it will be placed on someone else's desk, forgotten there.
I really don't know how to handle them anymore. This unnecessary wait and unemployment is really harsh.
