Police Report & Court Disposition for Interview
Hi everyone. I'm a new subscriber to this forum and I've read through the posts and found some very useful information. So I'm asking for your assistance with a matter in my case. I filed I(485,765,130 & 131) and did my biometrics and my I 485 & 765 were updated to show that finger prints were applied and background check complete. I recently received a notice that my interview has been scheduled and the notice was mailed out. I am waiting on the notice to arrive. I assume that my interview date will be about 1 month from now.

My problem is that I was arrested for a class A misdemeanor 19 years ago. I was new to the USA and it was a case of being around the wrong ppl at the wrong time and being influenced by them to break the law. I acknowledge that I was wrong and I have agonized over that situation and regretted it every day since because that is really not who I am as a person. I was given a court appointed attorney who sympathized with me and told me that I would get a slap on the wrist since it was my first offence. I was so naive, I thought that I was literally going to be slapped on my wrist in court by the judge. My punishment was to complete a course via CD which I did so well that they waived part 2 of the punishment. I was told that my records would be sealed after 6 months.

I decided to use a lawyer to file my immigration papers because of my "criminal history." My lawyer told me that I would need to get a police report and court disposition for my arrest. I didn't know how to go about it so my lawyer recommended someone she knew who I paid to get the 2 documents for me. After months of waiting, that person hasn't delivered the documents, hasn't refunded me and has basically ghosted me. The lawyer won't intervene for the reason that it's between me and that person. I have now decided to try and get the documents on my own however my problem is that:

1. I currently live in a state far from New York.
2. I don't know the name of the lawyer I was given.
3. I don't know the name of the precinct I was taken to.
4. I don't know the name of the court house I went to in NY.
5. I have no information about the case, case number etc
6. I only know the exact date of the arrest and the court date.
7. I have no idea how to go about getting the police report and court disposition in NY city/Manhattan.

Thank you in advance for responding.
