I485 adjustment of status green card through marriage
Hello everyone.
hope you all are safe and following instructions to prevent yourselves from this deadly corona virus pandemic.
I have been a reader of this forum amd would like thank you all for sharing your stories. I finally got my green card in hand and I'm thankful to God of guiding me through this journey and completion of it. Here's my story.

same sex marriage to USC.

PD : July 2019
RFE: September for birth certificate. Although I did send my birth certificate, but somehow they sent a letter so I sent a notarized copy of my birth certificate.
Feb 2020 : case is ready to be scheduled
After 3 days I got my status for i485 case was scheduled for interview.
3 days later in feb 2020, interview was cancelled
I was really worried but right after 5 days my i485 case got update and I got my status update again for case is ready to be scheduled. Received a notice and I had my interview scheduled for March 17th 2020.
in this entire process I did file from i765 (employment authorization) and i131 travel document which is also called advanced parole. However I didn't get any updates and did not receive my combo card.
due to corona virus and office shutdown I contacted uscis online chat and asked about my field office in ca and they misguided me of saying the offices are closed. I did tell them there was no information on the website and the agent kept on saying it is getting updated as we speak.

March 17 2020 : day of interview.
I checked uscis website and it still said office is open and because I have read few posts here where few people were misguided but they still went to their interview and the IO didn't have any information of what they were told by the uscis agents. Anyway we went to the field office and went through security and all the formalities.
the gentleman at the window asked us questions if we have travelled outside usa in the last 60 days , any cough or flu like symptoms so we said no.
Checked in at the window and after 1 hour the IO called us in her office. Swore us in.
The interview went very smooth and she asked us the basic questions of how you met , how long you dated and when did you decide to get married etc.
We had all the documents and pictures , affidavits from our friends, beneficiary documents of me being a beneficiary of my husband 401k, life insurance, and health insurance.
She looked all the documents and then she went outside and then gave us the white paper and told us we are approved and she has enough documents to be convinced our marriage is bonafide.
It was a wonderful experience and the officer was very polite, nice. She told us that due to the Corona virus issue the card might take time to arrive, however she told us that she has approved the case from their part.
I got my card in mail yesterday and I'm happy. I wish you all the very best and again I would say that if your marriage is bonafide and real they can easily sense it and can see how you communicate and they observe your body language. So there's nothing to worry and leave it up to God.
