When to approach ombuds or congressman?
Hi everybody,

I post this question to help others out as well.

In my case I am waiting for over 150 days on my EAD. I received an RFE and uscis response deadline of 60 days is almost over time. I have 2 job offers waiting but still can’t respond to it because of the EAD that I am waiting for.

My service center is potomac.

My taken actions to speed up the process but without succes;
- called a few times with tier 1 and tier 2 officers to see if they could tell me more on the status but you always get the same answer (information is available online etc. No news on that they can tell)
- tried to expedite the case based on job offer loss, but without success. Got denied within 24 hrs.
- the additional evidence I had to deliver for the RFE is almost the same as I initially sent in. Therefore I tried to see if I could expedite based on an error of the uscis for unnecessary delay. Also that one got denied straight.

As you can see I tried a lot to make it work but it is just useless so far.

I read about approaching an ombudsman or congressman, is this a good choice to do so? What could i say to them to help me out and to have a chance of success?

I am just loosing my hope for a good end especially these days!

Any advice? Thank you very much!
