GOT MY PERMANENT GC!!! PD 2017 MIAMI
Hello, family!
I hope you're safe!
My tough and super long journey is finally over! I can't be grateful enough for all the support and helpful information you were giving me all the time! Thank you so much for being there for me every time I felt desperate and down. WE MADE IT!
I'm sure that my story\experience can help others to stay strong, positive and informed.
PD Aug 2017 Miami office
1st interview Nov 2018 (successful and pretty fast)
A long wait....... tons of service requests, ombudsman, million of calls.
On March 3rd 2020 I got a letter for a 2nd interview.
2nd interview March 12th 2020.
The officer was nice and professional. He said that the officer from our 1st interview didn't leave any notice about the results of the interview that's why he had to invite us again. (uuuhhhhhhhhhhhh 1,5 year of damn waiting between 2 interviews!!!)
On the 2nd interview we were asked to provide the most recent papers only: an updated lease, all the insurances we had, FPL statements for the last 6 months, memberships, taxes. He wasn't pushy or too demanding. My husband and I were giving him the papers and he was just collecting them without looking. He didn't ask us to give him any new photos. The officer didn't separate us.
Questions:
-About our previous marriages (when/why/where got married/divorced)
-Why we got married after such a short period of time? (5 months of living together)
-How we met
-How he proposed? Describe the whole day
-What's your husband's fav sports team?
-How many cars do you have?
-What both of us do for living?
-Who were our witnesses on the wedding?
-Where was our wedding?
-Do we have kids?

That's it. The officer was friendly and had an amazing sense of humor. It was a 10mins interview max.
I asked him when we could get the decision, and he told me that it wasn't up to him. He said after every single interview all the officers had to send the case to a different state (online) and only after somebody's else approval they could proceed with the case and approve or denial. He also said that he had no idea how long it could take.. a week or another year. We were in shock to hear that.
We went home feeling nothing. Tired, sleepy and emotionally empty. We were having breakfast (since our interview was at 7am) when our lawyer called and said we were APPROVED!!! An hour after the interview!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The best moment ever!
About 4 days later I got an approval notices (letters) and 3 days after that my beautiful permanent green card! I can't even describe what I felt at that moment!
Guys, that's attainable! That's possible! Believe in it, believe in God and you will be there! Every time I saw stories how other people were getting their cards, I felt happy for them, but I couldn't understand why my path was supposed to be that long and that difficult. It is what it is. God gives us lessons, and I wouldn't change anything about my journey. Hope is a powerful thing. YOU WILL BE THERE SOON!
I wish you all the luck in the world, i wish you PATIENCE and blessings.
You can check my previous experiences to get more details.
Love you all.
