Cancelled interview
Hi guys,
Hope everyone is safe during this current situation. Like everyone else, I have also been affected by this. My interview was scheduled for 20th of March but they called me 3 days earlier saying they have canceled my interview and I’ll get my interview rescheduled sometime in May.
Today my husband who is the sole sponsor for my i 130 told me that his employer told him they’ll pay him only until half way through the month and the rest should be unpaid leave. He’s been told to not to come to work until the 30th and on 30th they’ll tell him what’s gonna happen which means he might lose his job because of this current situation.
My question is that if my husband loses his job and when we go to our interview in May (hopefully) is the IO going to ask us for my husband’s current paystub since he’s the only sponsor? If he/she will then, will there be any exception during this difficult time? I still have my job so far and will be supporting both of us but I don’t think they are going to care about me being employed since I cannot sponsor myself. Also are they going to give us a hard time if my husband gets unemployment benefits?
