San Jose I-485 Filers?
Hello, are there any San Jose filers here still waiting for family based AOS decision?
My case has been pending for 23 months. Here is my timeline:
PD: May 2018
Biometrics: June 2018
RFE: Sept 2018
EAD received: Nov 2018
Green Card Interview: Sept 2019
I-130 approval letter received: 2 weeks after interview
Interview Officer told us that I should expect to receive my green card in the mail within 6 weeks following the interview. Online status hasn't changed since day after the interview where it states "Interview Was Completed And My Case Must Be Reviewed."
After 120 days passed I called USCIS to make "outside of normal processing times" case inquiry. I received a response 29 days later via email with the answer:
"Our records show that your I485 is currently pending adjudication. We will mail you a notice when we make a decision or need something from you."
I have since called USCIS and spoke to both Tier 1 and Tier 2 agents and they have been no help at all, giving me the same answer every time - that there is nothing I can do but wait to receive mail with a decision.
I will be making a 2nd service request soon (need to wait 30 days after receiving a reply from your previous service request before you can open a new one).
I have also reached out to my local congressman for help but unfortunately haven't received a response from his office either being that they are closed now due to the corona virus.
Anyone else with a similar timeline/experience?
