My parents got 10yr visa on Feb 4th.
Questions asked were very straight forward
* Where my father worked
* Position and salary at the time of retirement
* Current pension
* My job
* Company I'm working for
* How many times I changed my job (never)
* My salary
* How many children my parents have?
(They didn't ask for any document)
Looks like Chennai consulate gives 10 yr visa for parents if they feel that case is genuine.
Only different thing I did apart from those described in immihelp is in the cover letter to consulate. After standard text, I added my details and the list of documents I've enclosed. I wanted to make sure that visa officer gets all informaton by looking at one paper.
