Please help me.
My tourist visa to USA got rejected yesterday by US consulate in Dubai.
The visa officer asked the following Questions:
I truthfully answered them and my visit was soley Toursim.
1. What is the purpose of your travel –
A . Tourism
2. How many years you been divorced.
A. 7 years
3. Do you have any children?
A No
4. How many years u r working in UAE?
A. 10 yrs
5. Who is June who is sponsoring you?
A. My friend
6. How do you know her?
A. She was my room mate
7. How many years she is in US? (she got married to McNaught)
A 7 years
8 When did you meet her
A. 6 yrs back
9. Do you have any people of your own in Dubai
A No
10 Show me the letter from your company?
Visa officer read it – he gave me print out saying visa is rejected under section 214 (b). Unable to show strong social and economic ties to the country of your residence to ensure that your visit to US is temporary.
But informed me you have tourist visas ONLY to Singapore and Thailand which is not strong enough for me to give you a tourist visa to USA.
Can I request another interview and show them that my travel is temporary as I have a mentally retarded brother and sister whom I have to take care of who are in India and I visit them every 6 months. (should these documents be translated and attested) or should I visit USA through SOTC USA tours.
I am a resident of UAE – Dubai
