Thanks to immihelp - my parents got 10 yr visa in Chennai on Oct 18th.
Everything went really well - the CO didnt even see any docs - just asked a couple of basic questions to my parents. My parents had scheduled their interview in Urdu. We sent all the necessary docs according to info posted on immihelp. I also prepared a bunch of questions and asked my parents to prepare well.
CO - So your son and daughter are in US. Where are they?
Parent - Yes, in xxx and yyy place
CO - Do you have any other son?
Parent - Yes, he is studying in India
CO - (To my father) Do you withdraw pension? (he is retired)
Father - yes, Rs x
CO - Do you have any property? how much?
Father - so and so..
CO - You wont be staying for long?
Parents - No.
CO - Congrats!! visa granted.
