Hello All,
Today I went through my H1B Visa interview in Abu Dhabi US Embassy. To give you a background about me, I am Java professional from India currently working in Abu Dhabi. My sponsor is a big professional consultant in US. Sponsor did not provide me client letter but since the sponsor is a well known company in the US and since I would be working from the sponsors premises, I assumed client letter would not be asked for. The interview went through like a breeze. It took about one hour in all. I was not asked for any documents apart from the petition docs(I797/I129/LCA) and DS 160 confirmation. The consular staff were extremely courteous and friendly. Heres what was asked
1. what will you be doing in the US
I will be working for my petitioner. (she was surprised. she thought I had come for tourist visa)
2. Can I have your petition docs
sure. passed it on.
3. How long have you been in Abu Dhabi

4. Which company do you work for here

5. What kind of work you do here
I am involved in Java development
3. What kind of work will you be doing in US
I will be doing Java development
4. How many years of Java experience you have
