EAD....A long wait over....
Hi,
Like everyone here , even I was worried about my EAD when I didn't hear anything from the department for 50 days.
Below is how it went .
21st Feb 2014 Application sent to USCIS with passport size photographs enclosed.
28th Feb 2014 Got a receipt and email of confirmation of case received.
Big wait started after this , What I presumed is I may get a call for bio metrics within 30 days of time and then in around 50 days I would get my EAD as most of my friends have got.
However after checking it every week , no status change occurred online and no mails for bio metrics received , after patiently waiting for 50 days , I thought of giving a call to the department asking for bio metrics appointment , I made this call just for the sake of being in attention that the case is pending with no action from 50 days. At the end of the call the representative said that I will get a reply on this in 7 days.
To all my surprise 4th day after making the call , my EAD was approved online and the status said CARD sent for production and after that in 4 days I received my EAD along with an answer to my request of bio metrics "that its not needed my case has been approved"
Three suggestions for all you waiting for EAD :
1) Have patience.
2) Do try giving a call to one of the representatives for bio metrics / expedition or something else just to give your case a little highlight.
3) If this doesn't work , please have patience your EAD would be soon on its way.
After reading so many posts on this , feeling good to be posting here.
