OCI in process since late January
Folks - Looks like my family application for OCI and renunciation are lost somewhere in the process. I applied in late January and the BLS site has always had the status "your application is ready to be sent to the consulate". But every time I called them their reply was that the application is in process at the consulate. In early March they send a note that the consulate is asking for additional photos which I promptly submitted. Now with the change in providers I cannot find my record in CKGS site under "Track application submitted before May 20, 2014 at BLS Outsourcing". I need to travel to India in mid july and am thinking of applying for a Visitor Visa and am wondering if I can apply like a US national without disclosing the Person of Indian origin (since that will require the renunciation certificate which I haven't got). Appreciate all and any advice from you folks??
