Another OCI tale of woe
I had applied for my minor son's OCI renewal originally in March 2015, to BLS. After lot of asking additional documents (really, for a minor child renewal???) they finally said they submitted the file to Indian Embassy in Washington DC on 1st May 2014.
After that the handover to Cox and King took place, then finish! - No updates, no answer to questions, attempts to track status online with Cox and King shows Records Not Found, also when trying to track with Government of India web site says same thing "no records found".
Needless to say, phone calls to Indian Embassy or Cox and King are never picked up. Indian Embassy never responds to email. Cox and King replies to email, with inaccurate information. What are we supposed to do?
We want to travel to India in end of June. It looks like there is no chance of OCI coming by then.
Can we apply for a tourist visa for my son? Will that invalidate the pending OCI renewal application?
Can any knowledgeable person advise?
