Student Visa (F1, F2, M1, M2)

So I barely found any f1 visa experiences at Toronto Consulate. ANYWAYS. I said I'll post my experience and here it is :)
First thing is, I had a 1-485 (greencard) application filed for me and it was denied. I overstayed also as a minor though! That was my history.
I was nervous and got a hour and a half sleep before the interview day.
When I was inside the consulate, a boy got rejected for his visitors visa because of his prior overstay, so I grew a bit tense. I was called up

-VO: Hello how you doing (smiling)
- Me: Hello (smiling) good!
- VO: why are you going to the u.s?
- Me: to study
- VO: what school?
- Me: Said
- VO: Do you have any financial papers with you?
- Me: Yes! (Hands over documents)
- VO- is this your parents bank account?
- Me: no, it's my cousins
- VO: (gave a strange face) your cousin is going to pay?
-Me: yes, he is like my brother
- VO: wish my cousin was that nice enough (starts typing in his computer)
- Me: (waiting for decision)
- VO: (hands a white paper) your visa is approved, study well!
- Me: Thankyou!!

Keep calm, confidence, smile, BE LIKEABLE!! :) and he didn't even ask about my overstay or greencard application that was denied.
