H1B Visa approved by VO -But status in Administrative Processing
Hi,

I’ve attended H1-B interview on 14-Nov @ Hyderabad consulate. The interview went well ,Visa consular officer said my visa is approved and taken my passport. He told I will get my passport in 2-3 business days

When I’ve checked the status in VISA tracking site
(https://ceac.state.gov/ceacstattracker/status.aspx) it was showing as “Administrative Processing” , two of my colleagues attend on the same day & at same location but they received passport also.

I was not given any pink/white slip or anything like that. The consulate officer said I will get it in a 2-3 business days.

The current status shows as below.

Your visa case is currently undergoing necessary administrative processing. This processing can take several weeks. Please follow any instructions provided by the Consular Officer at the time of your interview. If further information is needed, you will be contacted. If your visa application is approved, it will be processed and mailed/available within two business days.

For more information, please visit U.S. Consulate General Hyderabad.
