Peace Arch Border Crossing i94 extension
Sharing my experience to extend i94.
My case: I94 expiring soon because of my Passport expiration date, I wanted to extend my i94 till my i797 expiration date.
What I did: I got a new passport , I got visitors visa for Canada, on 10th i drove from Seattle to Vancouver, at the Canadian border officer refused to take my I94 card since he didn't want to risk my re-entry to United Stated.
I stayed in Canada for a night went to few places, drove back on 11th evening, in the Peace Arch Border I told the officer that I need to extend my I94 and the office understood the situation and asked me to park my car next to the screen building, I parked my car and went inside and told the office that my i94 is expiring and I have a new passport hence I need to extend the same, without any issue they verified my i797 and issued a new i94.
the officers at the US border crossing are all very good. I think if, all your documents are correct then extending I94 is not an issue.
